Cozy cute little Cafe.☺ Family and women owned. Come support! They have a great menu and prices! Customer service is awesome, and the space is very clean, a huge plus. Everything I've tried so far has been mouthwatering delicious. Can't wait to try everything now. Lol... If you're in the area, it's great to eat, get some work done, relax and/or read a book. They also have an upstairs area for group meetings which is another plus. 😊
Such a gem!! You must try the cafe de olla along with the chia pudding- amazing! We inhaled the baguette sandwiches so you already know those were so good. I loved the outside seating area where you can soak up the sun and slow down while you enjoy some delicious food. We will need to stop here every time we’re in the area. The owner is the sweetest and will check in to see if you’re fully enjoying your meal + cafécito ❤️
I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place until I drove there for myself… like honestly it’s PERFECT location for all the occasions. They share space with the barbería next door, but it feels like a community to me…. This is a local gem in Hayward that you definitely do not want to miss! It’s located right next to Arteaga’s, serving Mexican delights and drinks. I got their cafe de olla and it is HONESTLY to die for — very medicinal, dark roasted, and made with lots of love. Éste tienda es un café local en la ciudad de Hayward, Y en mi opinión, la gente es muy generoso y simpático. La gente habla mucho español y tienes muchas comidas en el café. La bebida yo recomiendo es café de olla es un café muy tradicional y muy diverso. The owners and the servers are bilingual and are VERY friendly — so if you need to get away look no further than Romo’s!
I absolutely love this place. First time here and it reminded me of mi tias casa en Mexico. The food was fantastic. The coffee was just right. Everyone there was so nice and welcoming.
I cannot believe I never knew about this cafe when I lived nearby. Just discovered it today and will definitely be back! The BLT and Chipotle Chicken sandwiches were delicious & filling - generous portions of crispy bacon, lots of spring mix to be healthy and the French bread was beautifully warm and toasted. Limonada mineral just like we had in Mexico, and the Cafe de olla is a must try! The ladies were super sweet and gave us a sample of their chia pudding which was also delicious and I’ll be ordering a bowl for breakfast next time I come. This place is easy to miss as it doesn’t look like much from the front and the interior is small, but then there is a nice back patio with about 10 tables of various sizes including a huge communal table that can seat about ten people. The decor transported me back to our visits to Mexico. Love love love!
Chia pudding, and sandwiches were delicious, but I love the most that's all elders serving they are loving, caring and super nice definitely comming back for more
Romo’s Cafe is such a hidden gem. The staff were all incredibly kind and attentive from the moment we arrived, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming. We enjoyed a delightful breakfast out on their patio, and the ambiance instantly took me back to my abuelita’s patio in Mexico — cozy, nostalgic, and full of charm. There’s a chef cooking authentic Mexican breakfast right outside, and the smells alone are enough to make you smile. I especially loved my delicious café de olla, and my son was so happy with his Abuelita chocolate. Both drinks were served in beautiful tazas de barro, which made it feel even more special and traditional. I’ll definitely be coming back with more of my family so they can experience this wonderful spot too! 💜
Had a great breakfast here last week and service/food/cappucino so good i came back and had breakfast for lunch. Also bought a great pottery coffee mug for a christmas present
Google lead me here and I absolutely love it. The people here are so nice. Ordered the veggie sandwich and iced latte. AMAZING ! While I was waiting they gave me a sample of the chia pudding. It was so good I ordered one on the spot. Love the art inside. Love the seating outside. Please come try this cafe I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Stopped by Romo Cafe in Hayward on a Sunday around 10am no line and quick service. The back patio had a few parties, light music, and a relaxed vibe, plus it’s dog-friendly. One croissant sandwich and two café de olla for about $20. Great spot for a calm morning.
